Wouldn't give appointment to see the doctor to get pain relief for serious tooth pain. the dentist had said to contact g.p to get pain relief till the appointment. as no appointments for 7 days.

Many thanks for posting a comment, and I'm sorry that you feel that our receptionists are arrogant and ignorant. We take all comments - good and bad - seriously and we shall reflect on this comment in our regular training events.

I'm sorry that you was asked to contact the practice to deal with your dental problem. However, as GPs are not trained in dental complaints then it was appropriate to refer you back to the dentist for treatment. Dental surgeons are able to prescribe all types of painkillers on prescription, so your dentist should have issued a prescription for painkillers without having to direct you to a GP. It is not appropriate for GPs to get involved with the treatment of dental pain.

Once again, I'm sorry that you experienced a delay in receiving appropriate treatment for your dental problem. I would suggest that you might like to discuss this matter with your dental practice.
