"My appointment was cut short"

About: South West London And St George's Mental Health NHS Trust / Adult mental health

(as a service user),

Appointment to see my care co-ordinator at the cmht, they had a room for us to go into but found that someone was in there. They said they won't be long but I was quite annoyed as I wasn't feeling great and needed to speak in private.

They told me that they had booked the room but sometimes appointments go over. It wasn't good enough. They then had to find another room, turned out that the other person was in that room for half an hour longer than they should have been and because they had taken up so much time my appointment was cut short due to my care coordinator having another appointment.

There always seems to be problems with rooms in Harward and I feel some of the receptionists have not shown much compassion in a mental health setting.

Dear Farai, my issue wasn't with the cmht but with the reception staff and the other people using the room.
