Our first experience of the Jubilee was the letter we received telling my husband to attend for pre op appointment and tests, we were invited to attend in an afternoon and stayed overnight in the hotel so that he could have all his tests.
He was admitted to the hospital on in August for his hip replacement operation and it took place the next day. The nurses on the ward were friendly and helpful and he met the anaesthetist who was very encouraging he also met I think a registrar or assistant to the surgeon Mr Clark. After his operation, he was constantly supervised with visits from various specialities including Mr Clark.
I was able to visit in the afternoon as I had stayed overnight at the hotel, the following day he had physio and other people come to assist him. Two days after his surgery he had another xray before being discharged after lunch.
On our arrival home, there was a letter waiting with the date of his outpatient appointment, which he attended this week after having a very successful recovery period at home. We were early and was sent for an xray then saw a nurse practitioner who checked him over and he was passed as good to go.
We are both very impressed with the efficiency and friendliness of the hospital, from the reception desk staff, outpatient staff and ward staff everyone. If every hospital in the NHS was like this there would not be so many problems. I would recommend anyone to go there for treatment. Thank you
"Very impressed with the efficiency and friendliness"
