I was told the wait would be at least two hours from my appointment time, it got so busy that people with visitors waiting in cars outside were ‘advised’ (asked) to go sit with them - all seats were full at this point.
After over two hours I had not been seen or spoken to by anyone and had been sat in a car. Being nil by mouth and with a 12:40 appointment it had been over twelve hours since I even drank water.
The receptionist told me they couldn’t guarantee at any point what time I would be seen. At 3pm
I doubted that I would get the surgical abortion completed before they closed, and staff couldn’t promise that they would, so I gave up and left.
Really poor experience. If there are delays we should be contacted, especially when I travelled over an hour to be there. No updates, no advice on why there was a delay, reception staff were lovely but sadly they were the only people I saw apart from the 15 or so girls still ahead of me. If going for surgical, I would recommend travelling to a less busy centre.
