"Amazing!!"

I had a surgical abortion at 11 weeks!!

I first visited to have a medical procedure (tablets) however I found out that I was too far gone to carry on with that particular procedure.

My nurse at Marie Stopes explained everything to me and calmed me so well (as I was a nervous wreck)

The nurse explained that I was to far into my pregnancy and would have to consider a surgical procedure if I want to proced with the abortion option.

The nurse booked me in for the week after allowing me time to think and prepare.

I turned up to my appointment the next week ready to carry on. I was so nervous and did not know what to expect.

Although I had to wait around 2 hours to be seen it was worth it. The whole appointment from start to finished ran snoothly and so organised.

The nurses and doctors were absolutely fantastic and calmed me completely.

I hate needles!!!! But the staff took me under there wing and dealt with me so patiently. You can really see the profession and experience of these people!!! And that’s what they are!! Just PEOPLE!! they talk to you and treat you like a friend with care and compassion.

It was such a hard time for me and I honestly do not know how I would of done it without there support!
