"Need more doctors"

About: Robin Lane Health and Wellbeing Centre

Me and my partner brought our daughter who is 9 months old she wasn't well at all and I thought children of this age would get a little more priority, my partner called around 11.40 and was told to come back in an hour which we did and we waited a further 90 mins which wasn't easy and in this present climate we need more GP's as a turn around of 2.5 hours isn't acceptable

Hi Andy.

I'm really sorry to hear this and completely understand it can be difficult waiting with small children, especially when they are unwell. We are trialling various options in how to triage/prioritise small children.

We give each walk-in patient the most accurate idea we can of how long they are likely to wait. The difficulty is we don't know what urgent matters may unfold or if how long patients will take in consultation with clinicians as this is flexible.

Once the building work is complete we will have some new consulting rooms and therefore will have space to employ more clinicians if funding allows.

Kind regards

Florence
