"Orthopaedics"

About: Glenfield Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

I came to see an orthopaedic surgeon in regards to my knees. Dispite me being told in 2012 I had severe osteoarthritis. This doctor made me feel inadequate.Dispite my X-ray results showing signs I was made to feel like a baby and was told I wouldn’t cope with a knee replacement.

To say the least I will not be coming back to this surgeon for a follow up appointment.

I shall go to another hospital that has a surgeon I can have faith in before making my decision

Dear reviewer,

We are very sorry to hear about your experience and the concerns you have raised. We take this very seriously as this is not how our patients should be made to feel. We would like to investigate further in order that we can address this and improve our service for future patients. To help us do so can you please email your details (name, address, date of birth, NHS number) to radhakant.pandey@uhl-tr.nhs.uk or sally.le-good@uhl-tr.nhs.uk.

Kind regards,
