I was lucky enough to spend a week with some of the most wonderful representatives of the nursing profession. Every aspect of my care was explained throughout my comfortable stay. Nothing was too much trouble, they even had some leeches put on standby, just in case they were need! Luckily for me they weren't, phew.
I must also add that my praise goes out to all the staff that help to run this unit, including the cleaning and catering staff. The food menu is extremely varied and I didn't have one disappointing meal. Could do with serving sugar puffs though ;-)
Even though this was a busy ward, the staff gave you their time, even if it wasn't nursing related, they were there with a sympathetic ear or a funny tale to tell. This helps immensely with patient recovery attitude. Big thanks to everyone who helped, from the moment I 'checked in' until checkout.
