"Visit to accident and emergency for my baby"

About: Royal Hospital for Sick Children (Yorkhill) / Accident & Emergency

(as a service user),

I had to visit the children's accident and emergency department with my son at the Queen elizabeth hospital.

We received compassionate and understanding staff, especially the doctor who saw him. He put our mind at ease and made us feel confident that our son was being cared for.

Dear rvay

Whilst I am sorry to hear that you had to bring your son to the Emergency Department in the Children's Hospital, I am really pleased to hear that our staff made this as positive an experience as possible. Coming to hospital in these circumstances is always stressful but your post highlights the difference it makes when patients and families are treated in a kind and confident manner by skilled and professional staff. Our teams work very hard to ensure they deliver high standards of care and will be delighted to hear your lovely feedback.

I hope your son is doing better now

Best wishes

Pam
