"Coronary Care unit"

About: Southampton General Hospital / Cardiology

I am writing to thank all of the staff who helped me through a critical stent procedure. On arrival I was given a chance to explain all my symptoms and my 'story'. Through this, the ANP made a call to the coronary unit and I had a bed in half an hour, within 2 to 3 hours I was having an Angiogram to ascertain the damage to the left circumflex artery which was 99% blocked! I was given all the care I needed and had a stent fitted the following day. There were so many people involved in my care and I would like to thank them all from the bottom ( and left circumflex) of my heart.
