"Huge improvement at A&E"

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I was knocked over by a dog - landing heavily on concrete, banging my head and ramming my arm into the shoulder socket. Within half an hour I couldn't move my arm and was advised to go to A&E at the Worcestershire Royal.

I dreaded it. The last time I was there, some years ago, with my daughter who had fallen from a horse - we were sitting around for hours and hours, just waiting, hungry and worried. Thursday could not have been more different. I saw the triage nurse, emergency nurse practitioner, had x-rays then back to the ENP for advice and was on my way within two hours. Everyone was lovely too. Things have obviously been streamlined most efficiently and I was very impressed with the transformation. Well done Worcestershire Royal A&E and thank you.
