For 8 months I have been going to the hospital regarding thyroid problems, in the last 4 months my thyroid had started to enlarge causeing problems with eating talking not being able to sleep pressure going into my ear causing me to have really bad ear ache and head aches , l have been seen by endocrinology twice, last appointment cancelled by them new appointment not until November.so have not seen them in 4 months.my doctor sent me to ENT saw a doctor who was fantastic.said l needed surgery to remove thyroid.could not have been happier, they made a plan to meet with the surgeon who was to do the operation 2 weeks later.
On meeting, the surgeon was very anti with me did not want to operate in any way,
I explain to them that I just want my life back,no more pain in my ears and head and to relieve the pressure this is causing me. They explained the complications of the surgery. Of which I understood.so with much hesitation they then said they would do the surgery.
Thought I was finally getting some where,,two days later they phoned me to say that they had changed their mind and that I was to go back to endocrinologist.
Never felt so let down ever , can't get through to endocrinology it's just an answer machine.
Feel like the last 4 months have just been waste of time.
Thought hospitals are there to help!,,,
