"Unexpect visit to A&E Critical Care"

About: Scarborough General Hospital / Accident and emergency

Can I just send my sincere thanks to the Receptionist and Nurse that attended to my plight on Sunday 25th September at 11.00+ pm.

We were on holiday and I had inadvertently dropped nail glue in to my eye instead of eye drops! stupid I know but both bottles were white and the same size and in the make up bag that I use for holidays. Never again will those bottles travel together! After the initial telephone call we were told to come to A&E the Receptionist arranged for me to go straight through to Critical Care and the Nurse was superb in keeping me calm and rectifying the situation.

My eye is well on it's way to normal vision and I can only send my thanks once again to the staff.

They are marvellous.

Kind regards to all.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

I am so pleased to hear about your experience within our Emergency Department at York Hospital, it's great to hear that our receptionist and nursing team were so good at keeping you calm and resolved the issue.

We are very proud of our staff and we know that they always strive to provide the best service to our patients; it's great to get feedback from our patients reflecting this.
