"Seeing a doctor in brownlow"

About: Brownlow Group Practice

(as a service user),

Once again in Brownlow the appointments were running behind by half an hour bearing in mind they have a sign up stating if the patient arrives late they won't be seen! Attended with an ill baby and another doctor REFUSED to see the baby who had to go to hospital! Not happy with this surgery at all

Hello. We are very sorry to hear about your difficult experience. It is hard to comment on specific cases, but usually all cases involving an unplanned hospital admission would be discussed at our clinical meeting, to see what lessons could be learned. If you want to further ensure this happens, please put details in writing for the attention of our practice manager.

With regards to the wait for your appointment, again we apologise. We review waiting times at our weekly access meeting, and of course try to keep this at a minimum, but sometimes situations arise which mean this is inevitable.

Our receptionists are trained to ensure that ill babies are given priority and that the doctor is alerted to the fact that a sick baby is in the waiting room. Again, it's difficult to comment without knowing exactly what happened, and please do take the opportunity to feed back specific details via our practice manager.
