"NO commumication from staff when waiting over..."

About: Princess Alexandra Hospital / Ophthalmology

app at eye clinic always along wait but last app waited over 2hours, had to ask staff what was happening and reply was running late, half hour later ,change of staff and again had to ask

and nurse very apolegetic said consultant was running late. Had to cancel appointment

as husband was waiting in car and had to get home.

Made another appointment which was

3 weeks later , as yet to attend !! . The nurses are always polite but there is a huge lack of

communication between patients and staff. Hope next appointment on the 27th Sept

is a little more organised.

I hope that the appointment on 27 Sept was better for you. We are here to respond when things do not work, so please do not hesitate to get in touch again. I have passed on your comments to the person who leads the service and she is aware of your concerns.

If you would like to come to the hospital to speak to the team in person and understand what the longer term plans are for the site, please do not hesitate to get in touch on the numbers given. The Patient Experience Team are available Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm and are on 01279 82 72 11.
