"What fantastic staff"

I have been so impressed with the A and E department in the last two weeks. I have used the service throughout two week ends, late into the night. The staff are busy, but they work hard, do what they say they are going to do. I was referred to X ray, scanning, saw surgeons who arrived from other departments, as promised.

The staff were so professional, at all times. from the kind, attentive receptionists, the health care assistants who took blood, administered ECGs, and kept checking in- "How are you doing?" through to the registrar who took such care to explain what was happening and the surgeon who, at 11 o'clock at night, still in their scrubs made the effort to smile and hold my hand.

The surgical assessment unit, attached to A and E deserves a social thank you. The nurses and the health care professionals were amazing. Such patience, such respect for patients, and so kind.
