"Prostate Template Biopsy ? No problem."

Spent an enjoyable day, 19 09 17, at DVH having this procedure. Wonderful staff, who gave me great attention and help. The timing of my stay became quite protracted due to 'haywire' blood sugar counts, (I am type 2 diabetic) and from admission at 7am, to discharge at around 8pm, made my particular visit for this procedure a long one, which is usually not the norm. I was looked after most attentively for the whole day, with aftercare post-op of particular note. It had been nearly 22 hours since my last square meal, with just small sips of water to sustain during the day, when a staff member from the anaesthetics team, ever attentive, brought me biscuits and tea, which was like manna from heaven. Soon after that, my Son arrived to take me home. My day had been a long one, but in pleasant surroundings and with staff ever attentive, it passed pleasantly enough. There is slight residual discomfort from the op, which must be expected, but improvement is noticed, almost hourly and now, in the second day since, it has largely gone away.

So, although the proceedure initially, for me, was viewed with a certain amount of trepidation, I have ultimately realized that any anxiety was really unecessary, as all went well and my day at the hospital was a pleasant experience. There is now a wait for results to come through, so fingers crossed.
