From the moment we arrived in Accident Unit, everyone was friendly and professional. We were very quickly called through and Staff Nurse Thomas put my husband and I at our ease while taking my husbands vital signs and taking his Medical history. My husband was then seen by Dr McCaub who very professionally again took a history and ordered an ecg, bloods and an X-ray, all the time explaining what she was doing she was very thorough. Sister Nicola reassured my husband that if he he any chest pain he had to present at A & E. The visit was excellent, very professional and everyone including the porter were very friendly. Thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience in the Emergency Department. I am pleased to hear that your husband was treated with a professional manner and reassurance given by the different team members. Any attendance can be stressful, especially when feeling unwell so it is important that staff provide clear explanations at all times.

I will ensure that your comments are shared with the staff you have identified as they will be delighted to know how their actions made you feel. The Emergency Department is relies on every member of the team and it is reassuring to read that all staff made a difference to your care.
