About: Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital

I had to have an mri scan on my knee, waiting time was very good only waited a few minutes. Went to the mobile scan unit the member of staff confirming the questionaire answers with me was very nice, was then taken to the scanner by another member of staff not sure what their job role was they were very nice too. The scan started and after it had finished i was told it would have to be done again as i had moved. The scan was done again and i was told by the person doing the scan they are not doing it again as i had moved. After coming out of the scanner the person doing the scan came into the bit with the scanner in and said " you moved your hands, the images will not be good but im going to send them off anyway" the way they spoke was not pleasant at all. Have they ever tried laying a leg down flat with a bakers cyst its not pleasant. If they had actually bothered asking me any questions before the scan i could of had my knee positioned better and maybe the scan would have been ok. My sister in law does this job as a living and told me they could have put pillows under my kneeto support it better, and instead of just sitting in their chair when i came in actually asked me some questions after all isnt that their job. If i do have to have the scan done again i definately will not be coming back

It is good to hear your initial experience of the scan was friendly.
