I had a colonoscopy at the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy. After the procedure I was handed a written report in the recovery room. I stated the wrong home address was on the report. The report contained a recommendation for medication to be prescribed by my GP. The nurse who went through the written report then took it and tore it up in front of me, stating they would get into trouble if I left the hospital with a report containing the wrong home address. I asked if it would not be possible to put a correct address label (as in my patient notes) over the address. This seemingly was not possible. I was told that the report would be accessible electronically by my GP. As of Thursday 14th Sept 2017 this is not the case. The medication I need still has not been prescribed. As I have been bleeding per rectum for the last 5 weeks, it would be really nice to have the consultant's recommendation sent through to my GP practice.
