About: University Hospital Wishaw / Clinical haematology

(as the patient),

Arrived at Haematology department in Wishaw General Hospital. Was met on time by specialist nurse Jane Robertson who explained the procedure to me in great detail.

I found this very reassuring and as the procedure progressed was kept informed of every step.

I found Jane and her colleague Alex very efficient and the whole procedure was less traumatic than I had originally anticipated. In fact I was totally relaxed and at ease.

Thanks for your efficient and calm manner.

I am delighted to hear that you had a very positive experience, as I appreciate this can potentially be a traumatic procedure to undergo. I know that Jane and Alex work very hard to put patients at ease by explaining the procedure in depth and offering support throughout to try and make them feel at ease.
