"On the road to recovery"

About: Tameside General Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I have been suffering a hell of a lot with my mental health problems recently, including anxiety and depression. I have taken 2 overdoses in the past 2 months and haven't had the support I needed from health professionals in the past.

I am now starting to feel I am on the right road to recovery after speaking with Dave from the RAID team at Tameside hospital. He went out of his way to offer me help and support and gave me a lot of useful information that doctors in the past have never done.

I feel a lot more relaxed and comfortable in confronting my problems and not being afraid to go to A&E for help if I'm feeling suicidal or in need. He's probably the only person that hasn't patronised me or made me feel like I'm going crazy!

So thank you so much Dave for your time and effort, please pass this message on to him! Much appreciated.
