"I'm so appreciative for the support I have gotten"

About: Ealing IAPT

(as the patient),

After already partaking in a course of guided self help at Ealing IAPT for my anxiety I felt my depression was still quite intense so I was referred for cognitive behavioural therapy.

I had five CBT sessions with Sian at Ealing IAPT and I cannot believe the difference it has made to me. Sian was an amazing therapist and really explained in simple terms why I felt the way I did and gave me all the tools I need to to manage my mental health. My low mood improved dramatically over the course of my treatment and I now have strategies to follow should I ever need help again in the future.

The service, and especially Sian, really helped me and I'm so appreciative for the support I have gotten from it as it has very much improved my life.

Dear BackToMyOldSelf

I was really pleased to see your post on Care Opinion and grateful that you took the time to share this positive experience with us and other readers. Its really helpful that you did so because others, yet to contact the service will note the positive improvements that you made, given the right tools, over a relatively short space of time.

We are of course delighted that you are back to your old self but also really grateful that you acknowledged Sian's help, as it is really rewarding and motivating to get such lovely feedback.

On behalf of Ealing IAPT, thank you and best wishes for the future.

Dr Louise De Haro
