(as a relative),

We were holidaying in IOW and my mother was taken ill with severe pain in her leg. We came to A&E and had further tests the next day. She received excellent treatment for a suspected blood clot. Everyone we came into contact with from point of contact in A&E reception, nurses, Drs and consultants were excellent. My mother was given numerous tests and sent to MAU for followup the next day. We were so impressed with all your staff and the quality of care and kindness of everyone. we came into contact with. The volunteers were amazing and a credit to your hospital.

Thank you so much for sharing your valuable feedback of the care received when visiting the Trusts A&E department. I am sorry to hear your mother was taken ill during your holiday.

I was pleased to read that the experience was a positive one, and that all staff were kind, and you received high quality care from all you had contact with.

Your comments have been shared with the A&E team, and I am sure they will join me in hoping that your mother is recovering well.

I do hope that your visit to the hospital did not spoil your holiday to our Island.
