"Outpatient maternity (poppy team)"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Maternity unit

(as the patient),

I have been meaning to post something for a while now. I had my first child in 2012 and second in 2014 and both times had the same midwife. Her name was Eileen I think, unfortunately baby brain does not help.

Anyway she was amazing, down to earth and so approachable I always felt like I was having a catch up with a friend. I was obviously over the moon to see her again when I fell pregnant a second time.

I just wanted her to know she made a difference to me and my journey and I never got the chance to say thanks. Almost worth having another or maybe not.

Dear Mawbroon

Thank you so much for the lovely comments about your care with Eileen from the Poppy Team.

It is great to hear that Eileen caring for you in both pregnancies was such a positive experience. Having someone you know who is friendly and approachable can certainly make a big difference. I am sure she was also happy being able to support you in both pregnancies, almost part of the family as you say and am sure she would be more than happy to see you again!

I will make sure she gets a copy of your posting as I know it will make her day when she reads it.

Once again many thanks for taking the time to post this as I expect your days will be non-stop with two little ones and possibly now the school run too!

With best wishes

Gail
