"Excellent care"

I had a fall in the garden a few weeks ago and took myself off down to A&E where I was booked in by a very friendly receptionist and seen quickly by a member of staff who took a brief summary of my injury.

At the time the department was extremely busy with 23 people waiting to be seen.

Although I was in a lot of pain and discomfort I could see that the staff were working very hard to treat everyone as quickly as possible.

I was seen and treated within just over 4 hours which sounds a long time but the staff were under a lot of pressure.

When I was finally seen the nurse practitioner was fantastic and very caring despite being under a lot of pressure.

A follow up appointment was made in the fracture clinic where I was seen and dealt with before my appointment time which is just amazing.

We are very lucky to have such caring nurses and doctors
