"Makes you feel special"

About: Ladybrook Children's Centre

(as a service user),

My little girl  and I love this group. I used to feel she wasn't paying attention but I was so wrong.

At home she sings and signs the songs. She sings the Hello song to everyone and in group she shines with confidence. Often quite the little character. Leanne who takes this group really encourages the children to engage and I don't know how she does it but she recognises something positive about every child every week and makesure both the child and parent receive positive encouragement.

Kind of makes you feel special and the children glow from her praise. Those children that are shy after a few weeks grow with confidence through Leanne and as a parent its lovely to see that in other children aswell as my own.

My daughter found Jessie the puppet popped hher hands in and walked round singing to others towards end of group. Instead of saying No give Jessie back, or lets put Jessie away, Leanne encouraged her confidence by saying wow guys lets sing the goodbye song with my daughter and Jessie.  well done for joining Jessie in our goodbye song.

Everyone at group thought it was highlt amusing and wonderful also. Thank you Sure start and thank you Leanne.

Hi there,

thankyou so much for this delightful feedback, Ive really enjoyed reading about how you and your daughter are made to feel special within a group setting. Leanne is a fabulous pactitioner and I will be sure to pass on your comments.

Its sounds like Jessie is really growing in confidence especially as she has now taken a lead with the Goodbye song!

Ladybrook Children Centre has lots to offer and provide many activities to support the development of young children, I hope that we will see you here again soon.
