Saw my optician and she was not pleased with examination. A phone call was made as to whether I was referred to Ayr Eye Clinic or Crosshouse Stroke Clinic
I was sent to Ayr Hospital where tests, scans etc were carried out. The doctor who attended could not have been any more helpful.
Louise (doctor) referred me to Kilmarnock Stroke ward and I was admitted overnight.
The only negative was the lack of sleep for me during the night with machines bleeping and doctors calling in. This I accept really without question.
The staff in ward 3E Crosshouse were good and attentive to those patients who require it.
The stroke doctor I saw on Saturday was very thorough in his explanation of the incident which had occurred to me.
I was very lucky that I was able to continue to be independent whilst in.
"Good attentive staff"
