"I just felt rushed."

About: Royal Oldham Hospital / Maternity

(as a service user),

I feel the care for myself and babies was ok.

Felt the care for myself wasn't as good as my babies care. It took over 7 hours for someone to come to the room on admission onto the ward and that was purely because my mother in law questioned why my obs etc hadn't been done.

My current midwife who has looked after me for the last couple of days is fab. I did how ever get turfed out of my room with 5 mins notice, I understand the room was needed but I just felt rushed.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We strive to maintain high standards within our maternity departments and I am very sorry to hear that you did not receive the care that you expected from our maternity team. Please accept our apologies for any distress that this caused you. I am more than willing to look into this further on your behalf, please contact me directly to discuss your concerns in more detail. I am presuming that your concerns are related to the postnatal ward but welcome further clarification on this.

We are holding a 'Whose Shoes' listening and engagement event on the 19th of October, if you would like to attend please contact me for further information.
