"Broken ankle"

About: Whiston Hospital / Accident and emergency

I attended a and e nearly 5 weeks ago with a very swollen ankle after a fall. I was sent for some x rays and was shown these, we all agreed there was a line through one of the bones. I was informed that could be a break but are not sure so just go home and take some pain killers. After many trips to my own GP I got a referral to the Spire to see a consultant who too one look at the x rays and said THAT IS BROkE. I am now in a waking boot awaits an MRI to see what other damage has been done while I was walking around on it.
