"Cardiology Appointment"

About: Hammersmith Hospital / Cardiology

I am totally dissatisfied with the whole department, having initially been referred in December 2016, eventually had my first appointment in March 2017 having had an ECG, an ECHO, and two 7 day event monitors fitted to try and find out why I've been feeling so unwell. Follow up appointment was scheduled for end of July 2017,in the meantime my GP and Renal consultant tried to get my appointment brought forward to no avail.

Three days before my appointment in July it was cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances" by the Cardiologists secretary, who informs me that they will get me another earlier appointment which turned out to be not until the 24th August 2017. Yesterday I received a voicemail to confirm my appointment for August. Today I received a phonecall from the appointments booking service to cancel my appointment yet again! And to be told that the secretary had given instructions to cancel certain patients appointments and given a new appointment date of January 2018. I can't believe this, that a patient should be left 'dangling' without having discussed the outcomes of their test results, what kind of service is this???

Thank you for your email and I am so sorry that you have had cause to write into us.

Could you please email me your Name, Date of Birth, Hospital number if known and also which hospital site you attended for your appointment.

My email address is martin.bowler@imperial.nhs.uk

I will then be able to have someone look into this for you.

Kind regards

Martin
