"Fantastic treatment"

About: University Hospital (Coventry)

I visited Children's A and E after suspecting my 3 year old had broken his wrist.

I arrived at 8 am and by 10am I had visited triage, been assessed by a doctor, had a second opinion by a senior doctor, visited x ray, seen a nurse to strap his wrist and was on my way home!

Everyone I came across were so professional and compassionate, I was upset at having to miss our holiday in two days time due to my son being in a plaster cast, the doctor went out of their way to find a solution for me so that we were still able to go.

I was so impressed and grateful to everyone there, a massive well done and Thank you!!

Dear Sarah,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of our Children’s Emergency Department, we appreciate all feedback both positive and negative, as it helps us to better understand what is important to our patients and visitors.

We know it is a worrying time for parents when their child requires urgent treatment, so we aim to make what can often be a difficult situation as easy as possible. I am particularly pleased that you felt everyone who was involved in your son’s care treated you with compassionate, as well as being professional, as compassion is one of our Trust’s core values and very important to us.

I’m glad you were able to continue with you holiday plans and wish your son a full and speedy recovery.

Kind regards

Leah
