I spent 9 months on the eating disorders inpatient ward and had an excellent recovery focused experience.
The staff were extremely dedicated and there was a very holistic approach, with a full group programme.
The hospital is a nice, clean environment which is important when you are undergoing emotionally challenging treatment.
I was involved in making all of my care plans and setting my own targets for the admission.
I worked with a psychologist, occupational therapist, dietitian and medical doctors.
As I made progress I was able to challenge some of my fears in the community with a member of staff, for example, eating in a cafe.
I have had a lot of support and really value my time in the Woodbourne; I've exceeded my own expectations for recovery!
"Holistic, supportive, full group programme"
