After hearing negative things about the maternity unit at Oldham hospital I was really anxious about delivering my first baby here.

I started my labour in the birthing centre but due to high blood pressure had to be transferred to the labour ward. From start to finish my experience was very positive. All the staff on birthing centre, labour ward, theatre and post natal were amazing.

I had a student midwife deliver my baby girl who stayed with me from the birthing centre to the labour ward and was brilliant.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of our maternity service. It is very good to hear that your overall experience has been very positive. I have let the labour ward and birth centre know that you were pleased with their 'amazing' care.
