My Wife was admitted into the CAT unit at Blackpool Victoria Hospital recently and I have to say that the unit was so friendly and proactive.
The Advanced Practitioners Liam Duffy and Clare Websdale on duty were knowledgeable about their subject matter, supportive, empathetic, and they engaged my wife every step of the way in her care pathway, nothing was a surprise and it was broken down in a language that was easy to understand and she felt involved and in control.
My wife has been having dizziness and light headedness which has involved sudden drops with her blood pressure, she has required multiple tests, ranging from blood to scans, when the Doctor became involved (Dr Venu Kollipara) I can only say what a delight and pleasure he was, A true professional who showed a natural caring approach to his diagnostics, again talked us through the process and made us feel relieved and that nothing was to much to ask.
An outstanding service that prevented us form being admitted and spending unnecessary time in a hospital, freeing up beds for those who require them whilst, having access to experienced professionals who had the ability to get things done in a timely manner and supported you through the whole process.
Thank you
