"Repeat journey required"

About: The Royal London Hospital / General medicine

(as a service user),

Sent up to London Whitechapel sexual health from GHU where I never have problems to get a simple injection. Was seen quickly by nurse who said a doctor would call me in soon. I was an In-patient two weeks ago with severe swelling of the legs and cellulitis. I was told to prevent my legs From swelling otherwise I could lose them. I also have chronic fatigue and pain caused by neuropathy.. I sat here for 2 hours in an inappropriate chair. My legs are swollen and red.. Im exhausted from the fatigue cutting In. I'm in severe pain and dehydrated

Reception told me I was next. I wasn't. I got here at 12: 30 and it is now 3: 30 the staff are going home and so am I. I still have the journey home to ensure and it will take me a few days to recover from the experience. Then I have to repeat it to get my injection

We're sorry your experience at the hospital wasn't to the usual high standard we strive for on a daily basis.
