"A and E plus Reux Department and A10 then AM unit"

About: Wythenshawe Hospital / Accident and emergency

I have been taken to Wythenshawe Hospital twice over the last few weeks for a heart fibrillation my blood pressure was high and so was my pulse rate. As I have a history of hypertension and also having a stent fitted 5 years ago you can imagine what I was feeling when I landed in A @ E. I was seen almost immediately and was on a heart monitoring machine before I knew it. Everyone was so helpful, plus the Consultant. I was then transferred to a medical ward where the staff was caring, the cleaners and staff giving out cups of tea etc. Even the gentlemen patients were pleasant considering we are all poorly in some degree. My medication went a bit funny the other night and I has to go to A @ E again, it was exactly like before, so it was not a one off. We didn't have any money on us as I was staying in. The sister ordered my wife a taxi home and put it on their account. I want to thank all the staff, Triage, Reux team, Consultants doctors porters cleaners, nurses a massive thank you. If I became Prime Minister I would give you all a massive pay rise.... you deserve it. Thanks for looking after me.....again. x

Thank you for your comment posted on the NHS choices website about the care and treatment you received from the Wythenshawe Hospital in July 2017 from the A&E, Reux Department, Ward A10, and the Adult Medical Receiving Unit. Please accept our apologies for our delayed response to your comments.

It is always good to receive feedback which highlights the hard work and compassion of our staff. We were pleased to read that both the nursing and medical staff were pleasant and caring and that the nurse was kind enough to make sure your wife got home safely. Your comments have been forwarded to the Departments' Ward Managers so that they can be shared with the wider team.
