"Admitted with atypical pneumonia"

About: Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital

(as the patient),

I was admitted to ward 12 at cramlington via A&E. I came in feeling like I couldn't breath properly, had a chesty cough, shivery and muscle ache. In A&E I had a high temperature, a high pulse, oxygen saturations on the lower side and raised resps. I was treated promptly and had bloods taken and had oxygen and fluid along with a chest x ray showing the infection /pneumonia. All the staff were amazing! They monitored me closely and gave me fantastic care! ! I was then admitted to ward 12 where this fantastic care continued! I can't thank everybody enough. Everybody was so friendly and the care was fab! They made me feel at ease when I was a little frightened underneath. I need to let them know I appreciate how well they looked after me!

Dear Als28,

Thanks for your lovely review of your care at The Northumbria. Sounds like you've been feeling pretty rotten?

I'm delighted you received fab service from warm, friendly and attentive staff who were able to quickly establish what was wrong and what you needed to get better. I'm especially pleased that this excellence continued for you at all parts of your stay with us? That's just how we'd want things to be.

I will make sure our teams have a chance to read your appreciative feedback.

with all best wishes,

annie
