"Care in Mottingham and Avery Hill Wards..."

About: Queen Marys Hospital (Sidcup)

When I was informed I would be under going a procedure at Queen Marys Hospital Sidcup, I was alarmed as all my previous operations/procedures were at Darent Valley Hospital.

As soon as I entered Mottingham Ward my fears were dismissed as I was greeted by a friendly, kind and professional staff nurse. The nurse explained everything with compassion and I felt at ease. When it was time to go to theatre I was greeted by another kind and professional staff nurse who was there with me until I was asleep.

After the Recovery staff were extremely kind and looked after me until I was taken to Avery Hill ward.

The nurses within this ward treated me with compassion and kindness . My discharge when I was ready to go home was conducted with no problems and I received my discharge papers/advice.

I would like to thank all the Nurses and Doctors who looked after me during my admission to Queen Marys Hospital, you are all assets to the NHS, and you treat patients with compassion, professionalism and kindness.
