"Thanks to all the staff at Hairmyres"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Urology University Hospital Monklands / Urology (Ward 6)

(as the patient),

I was admitted to Monklands Hospital at Airdrie to the Urology Ward, Nursing staff could not do enough, but unfortunately after seeing three different doctors, I was discharged prematurely by the last doctor who never saw me before, without any examination, and I was feeling really ill, even when my family came to collect me, they noticed that I was lifeless and ill. But, I thought if I continue to take the medication at home, may be things will improve. But unfortunately I was getting worse, and was sent by my own GP to Hairmyres Hospital Ward three, who acted in a professional manner from start to finish, and I was on the mend again. The infection I had did not clear while I was in Monkland.

My thanks to ALL staff at Hairmyres Hospital WARD THREE for their dedication and professionalism.

Dear miloud,

Thank you for your post relating to your recent experience in the Urology Ward in Monklands. I will be delighted to pass onto the Nursing staff, that they couldn't do enough for you. However was it unfortunate that you were reviewed by three different Doctors and the third doctor deemed to fit for discharge, and subsequently had to come back to hospital in Hairmyres. I can only apologise for the experience you had within Monklands.

If you feel that you would like these issues looked into further whilst in Monklands, call Melanie MacLean the Patient Affairs Manager on 01236 713065, and we will do our best to resolve this.
