"Daughter broke her arm"

About: Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital / Accident & Emergency (Emergency Care)

(as a service user),

My 19 month old daughter broke a bone in her elbow 2 weeks a go and we took her to children's A&E. She was very upset and in pain. My four year old was also with myself and my husband. The staff were absolutely fantastic. They were incredibly compassionate and efficient. The male nurse even made a sling for my 4 year old which really made his day. They made an upsetting and stressful situation so much easier for us. The care received exceeded our expectations. Thank you

Hi mitchd3,

I am so glad that your family's experience was a positive one in our children's A&E and thank you for taking the time to write your story. The staff are very experienced in dealing with children and make every effort to make painful experiences a little bit better, which I am sure you know as a parent is not an easy task! They will be delighted to hear that they helped your daughter (and your son) in what must've been a pretty difficult day for you all.

I will share your feedback with the staff in A&E and as there is only 1 male nurse in A&E I can only assume that this was Drew so I will share your feedback with him.

Thanks for your great feedback and I hope that your daughter is recovering from her ordeal and is well on the road to recovery.
