"Dickens Ward Stay"

About: Ashford Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

After my knee surgery I was required to stay at the Dickens Ward for nearly a week.

I have encountered truly passionate, caring and hardworking staff. They gave me confidence to persevere with my physiotherapy despite long-standing anxiety and chronic pain. Enabled me to make choices about my care and worked with me to provide the best possible solutions and outcomes for my unique situation.

I was respected, listened and supported throughout my stay also in regards to continuity of care after discharge. I am taking my medication now as prescribed.

Breakfast: Wished they had the wholemeal bread on offer as only two choices of white to choose from in the morning. This was not a brown bread guys!😀

Thank you so much everyone!

Dear Jonanna

Thanks for your kind feedback about our Dickens Ward orthopaedics team, which we have passed onto them. We are so pleased to hear that you were well looked after and found our staff to be so caring and passionate. We are really pleased that they helped with your rehabilitation, during hospital and after you returned home and we hope that you are continuing to make a good recovery.
