"Pregnancy confusion"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

Doctor did a pregnancy test in a&e, came back to say I will misscarry in 7-10 days time, I felt upset, scared and very confused as I had no bleeding my tests were strong positives there wasn't any reason for my doctor at the time to suspect that. I took it of my own back to get a second opinion, that proved my pregnancy is actually ongoing.

Dear Pregnant mummy

I am sorry that you have had cause to raise a concern with us regarding a recent attendance in A&E and apologise for the anxieties this has caused. We would like to investigate the incident and wonder if you would e-mail PALS@ulh.nhs.uk with your details to enable us to look further at the issues you raise.

Regards

Karen Hansord – A&E Sister
