"Emergency treatment for bleeding duodenal ulcer"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (London)

I collapsed in the local high street with what turned out to be a bleeding duodenal ulcer and was taken to A&E by ambulance. The staff in A&E for very caring and professional and quickly identified the problem. I was admitted to the hospital within a couple of hours and then had an endoscopy the next day. The problem was solved and I spent the next four days as an in-patient. The nursing staff on the ward will brilliant - very caring and attentive - and my consultant and their team of junior doctors were also excellent. I would thoroughly recommend the Queen Elizabeth for the treatment of any gastrointestinal conditions. Well done to all the staff, as the work hard in very difficult conditions!
