"Staff were lovely with my daughter"

About: Community Services in Grampian

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter had an appointment with Cardiology at the Frederick Street Health Village. She is an adult, but has severe learning disabilities and finds new things stressful.

It was a great experience from start to finish, lovely lady on the front desk pointed us in the right direction. Lots of space in the waiting area, bright and airy too. All the staff we saw were really kind and patient with Beth, and so she was calm and didn't get upset throughout ECG, BP measurement and Ultrasound of the heart. Apart from fancying a wee snooze on the couch!

Thank you everyone, you made what could have been horrible a pleasant experience. And a clean bill of health too!

Dear Patti,

Thank you for sharing the story of you and your daughter's experience at the Health Village. I know the staff there will really appreciate it.

First impressions are very important and the lovely lady at the front desk plays a crucial role in helping to start each patient’s journey off on the right foot.

I understand that this would have been an anxious time for you both and I am really pleased to hear that the Cardiology staff were kind, patient and helped Beth to be calm throughout the appointment. Having the reassurance of a clean bill of health to take away must have been great too.

Best wishes,

Kirsten
