"Holiday visitor"

About: Dorset County Hospital / Ophthalmology

On holiday, when what we thought was shingles appeared.

Had cause to visit A and E, then Community walk in centre, who referred for emergency eye appointment.

Every person we saw, from receptionists, nurses to doctors could not have been more helpful.

So impressed with the service.

People are all too ready to complain about the NHS, but well done Dorset NHS healthcare.

Thank you everyone.

Dear Trevor

I'm sorry to hear that you had the misfortune to come down with shingles or similar while you were on holiday. However, I'm glad to note that when you had cause to visit us at Dorset County Hospital you found the care to be helpful.

I will ensure that the staff in A&E and the Eye Unit are made aware of your comments, and I know that they will be very pleased indeed to read them. I hope that you are now recovering, and that you got to enjoy the rest of your holiday.

Best wishes,

Becky Protopsaltis

Head of Patient & Public Engagement
