"Excellent thorough service"

I was referred to the gynaecology department by my GP following some post-menopausal bleeding. The appointment came through within a week and the consultant I saw was extremely thorough, conducting several tests, including a hysteroscopy. The nursing staff were also excellent in supporting me through this not-very-pleasant procedure. All the staff were reassuring and sensitive to the potentially embarrassing nature of the examination, everything was explained in detail and conducted with dignity.
We all know that the NHS is under tremendous pressure but I have nothing but praise for the way I was treated by NHS staff during my recent visit.
