"Compassion and care in very difficult circumstances"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / NHS 111

(as a service user),

To Ceri, John, Pete, Mark, Harriet and the call handlers at SWAST.

On behalf of my family I would like to thank all of the people involved when my father was in cardiac arrest. My sister was given instruction in CPR over the phone by the call handlers until the Paramedics arrived very shortly afterwards. Although my father sadly died, everyone involved did everything they could to give my father the best possible chance. My family were all treated with compassion and care in very difficult circumstances. Thank you.

Dear augustmh76,

Thank you for taking the time to share your story with us during what must be a very difficult time for you and your family.

We would be happy to share your story with the ambulance staff involved in your father's care, however to do so we will need some specific information. If you would like us to do this, please may I ask you to contact us on either plaudits@swast.nhs.uk or 01392 453 831 and a member of the Patient Engagement Team will be happy to help you further.

Thank you, again, for taking the time to provide us with feedback.

Kind regards,

Sharifa
