I had a panic attack out of the blue last year, this really frightened me as it was out of character for me, I initially went to my GP and was started on medication, I referred myself to Let's Talk and met Toni who was my therapist. We had 6 weeks of low intensity CBT which worked wonders with my medication I felt like I had a grip on my life again.
However I stopped taking the medication with doctors advice in November and I had a relapse with my anxiety and panic, I felt I had gone back to the beginning and could not see things getting better. I re-referred myself to the Let's Talk service and was put forward for high intensity CBT, this was hourly sessions I had 16 in total. I was lucky to have Toni again, I felt instantly at ease and could be totally honest, I did not feel judged by her. I would have structured sessions and have in between work to do.
I have been given some key skills in knowing my anxiety well and with Toni's advice I have strategies in place if I were to ever have a set back again.
I would not hesitate to recommend this service enough. Thank you again.
