Dear Reassured Relatives,

Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know about your parent's experience in the Emergency Department at the BGH. It is a worrying time as our relatives get older and frailer and we are working to try to provide a holistic approach to these people when they unfortunately have to come to hospital. We recognise that these situations can be very complex and so have gathered a team of experts to the front door (including physiotherapists and occupational therapists) as well as our nurses and doctors, with the hope that we can consider all aspects of the care needed by our elderly patients (and indeed their families). I'm so glad to hear that your mum felt reassured by the care that she received and very much hope that she is now recovering well at home.

I will pass on your kind words to the team in the ED and I know that they will be very grateful that you took the time to let us know of your experience.

Best wishes,

Lynn
